Caparo Maruti Limited : A joint venture of Caparo & Maruti Suzuki India Ltd

Caparo India’s operations began in 1994 with the inception of Caparo Maruti Limited (CML), a joint venture between Maruti Suzuki India Limited, the largest car manufacturer in India and Caparo, to manufacture sheet metal stamping, weld assemblies and sub-modules.

The shareholding Pattern of Caparo Maruti Ltd is as under : Caparo group 75%; Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) 25 %

Caparo MI Steel Processing Limited : A joint venture of Caparo & Marubeni-Itochu Steel INC, Japan

Caparo MI Ltd is a joint venture between Caparo and Marubeni Itochu Steel INC. (MISI) in 2007 for Tailor welding parts manufacturing. Alongside Caparo MI Ltd has Technical Assistance Agreement with MISI for related technology.

The shareholding Pattern of Caparo MI Ltd is as under : Caparo Engineering India Ltd 70%; Marubeni-Itochu Steel Inc (MISI) 30%

Caparo Power Limited : A joint venture of Caparo and Wartsila India owns and manages a Gas based power generation plan

Caparo Power Limited is an unlisted public company incorporated on 13th August, 2008 and became operational in 2012 as Gas Based Captive Power Plant at Bawal under Electricity Act, 2003. Caparo Power Limited is a Joint Venture Between Caparo Engineering India Limited and Wartsila India Private Limited – a company owned by Wartsila of Finland.

Caparo Tool Room : A technical alliance of Caparo tool room and Shin Young Co. Limited, Republic of Korea

Caparo has a Technical Assistance Agreement with Shinyoung Co. Ltd of South Korea in August, 2019 for Tool Design and Development. The scope of the alliance also includes upgradation of the process, imparting new technologies as available and applicable in the above fields.

Tool design and manufacturing for stamping of steel with high tensile (>590 MPa), Aluminium, prototype tools and progressive tooling are the core competency of this alliance
