A pioneer in sheet metal formation, Caparo’s Stamping division specialises in providing complete steel and aluminium metal stamping solutions for a wide range of applications.

The company has end-to-end capabilities to meet the sourcing requirements of OEMs for stamping components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies.

Caparo offers fully customised solutions to its customers, right from process design and development to providing tools, and migration to mass production with efficient delivery management. As part of technological upgradation, the company has further developed its capability in tool design and parts manufacturing in High Tensile Materials.

Caparo India’s mammoth infrastructural prowess is reflected through its 25 strategically located, state-of-the-art, ISO and TS 16949 certified manufacturing facilities pan India. The company has Tandem Manual and Semi-automated lower and higher tonnage Press Lines up to 4000T (first-of-its-kind in India) for highly specialised metal forming operations of varied sizes. Additionally, the division also has a world-class Tailor Welded Blanking (TWB) facility at Bawal, which is operated by CMI, a JV of Caparo with Marubeni-Itochu Steel, Japan.

The allied facilities in the division include advanced Coil Blanking Lines with Laser Optic and Under Surface Inspection, Laser Cutting, Plasma Cutting, Press Brake, MIG, TIG, Spot and Projection welding. Surface Treatment includes facilities like Shot Blasting, Powder Coating, advanced in-house CED Coating and PE Coating.

Caparo has in place a unique process monitoring system that ensures each end product exceeds customers’ expectations on each parameter. The ultra-modern quality labs ensure zero-error quality monitoring system and almost all the facilities are equipped with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).

Caparo India’s complete range of Skin panels and Body-in-White (BIW) systems supplied to OEMs across all segments including passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles and off highway segments include Skin Panels, Inner Panels and reinforcement, Suspension Systems, Chassis Assembly, Long Members, Tailor Welded Blanking, Customised Stampings, Door and Bumper assemblies, Oil pans, Fuel Tanks and other BIW parts.
