Caparo’s foray into the Indian automobile market began in 1994 through Caparo Maruti Ltd. (CML), a 75:25 joint venture between Caparo and Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL).
CML is a world-class, tier-one sheet metal stamping, weld assemblies and closures supplier to MSIL, operating four stamping centres with high and low tonnage press lines at Gurugram and Bawal, two dedicated stamping centres for skin parts and BIW components at Gurugram, and one centre at Bawal dedicated to CED coating and door hemming. With their focus on quality, CML’s stamping centres are ISO 14001, ISO/TS 16949 certified.
